'Heroes' star Ali Larter weds2009-08-02

Ali Larter and her long-time beau, actor Hayes MacArthur, became husband and wife Saturday at his parents' home in Maine.
The "Heroes" star and MacArthur, who have been together for more than five years and engaged since December 2007, were married in an outdoor ceremony in Kennebunkport, Maine. Irish music played before the ceremony, and Larter's father walked her down the aisle, Us Weekly reports. Among the guests was Larter's close friend and "Varsity Blues" co-star Amy Smart.
Larter has said in the past that she's been looking for just the right guy for a long time, and as a result "my heart got broken so many times because I put so much pressure on it," she told Cosmopolitan in 2007. MacArthur, she said then, "blindsided" her, "and all was right."
Larter is at work on the fourth season of "Heroes," which returns to NBC on Sept. 21; she's also set to reprise her role as Claire in the next "Resident Evil" movie. MacArthur co-starred in "The Game Plan" and has guested on "Worst Week" and "How I Met Your Mother," among other shows.
